JFK on Mormons

Of all the stories heard
From the days of pioneers
Let's look to the Mormon's words
And how they persevered

To see the right prevail,
with unflagging determination
Their courage did not fail
Despite orders for extermination

They had unity to restation
With patience and faith set in motion
It would do well for our nation
To follow these qualities and notions

As the Mormons have succeeded
We, too, can succeed
If we go not back, defeated
But heed their voices as we lead

You Were Closed Minded

You were very closed minded
And found it becoming
To know you'd decided
What was forthcoming

I knew it was pointless
To warn with a word
Your nose pointed highest
You saw not nor heard

Your nose was sky high
Continually sunning
So I thought "why try"
When I saw the dog running

Foaming at the mouth
Panting with a drool
He jumped. You went south
Into a muddy pool

With mud on your face
Your neck straightened, and still
Unphased by disgrace
You re-stubborned your will.
